Maintain order tickets. •- Prepare items for shipment by assembling, packing, protecting and labeling containers. •- Route vehicles for loading by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate and time of shipment and overall time and distance of route. •- Ship items by verifying content, quantity and condition of items. •- Communicate with buyer(s) on a daily basis. •- Oversee Order Selectors. •- Interview, select, train and schedule personnel. •- Conduct annual performance reviews and address/document disciplinary matters as needed. •- Participate in End of Month Inventory. •- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedure and protocols. •- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse. •- Complies with Lancaster Foods, Inc. policies and procedures. •- Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: •- HS Diploma or equivalent. •- Must be at least 18 years of age to work in warehouse. •- A minimum of two years of related experience. •- Must demonstrate proficient PC skills. UPS Logistics Roadnet knowledge, or similar computer routing software is desired. •- Must be able to work a 10 hour shift; 5 days a week, to include weekends and holidays. •- Must be able to work in a cold environment and be able to withstand temperature changes between 30-60 degrees. •- Must demonstrate satisfactory oral and written communication skills. •- Ability to operate a variety of Powered Industrial Equipment. •- Maintain Powered Industrial Certification for lift trucks, pallet jacks and man lifts. •- Ability to frequently lift and carry 1-70 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 70-115 pounds. •- Must be able to, with reasonable accommodations, lift and carry 1-115 pounds, work in temperatures, which range from 28-90 degrees. •- Must have own transportation. •- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends. •- Must have a PASSION for Having FUN and Working with Others. |
