 THIS POSITION IS FOR EXPERIENCED FRESH CUT PRODUCTION/VALUE ADDED MANAGEMENT CANDIDATES ONLY!!!

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Oversee the reprocessing of substandard quality fruits and vegetables into premium quality.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee daily operation of fresh cut production unit.
  2. Communicate with buyer(s) on a daily basis.
  3. Operate food-processing equipment.
  4. Establish and enforce guidelines for quality, safety and productivity levels.
  5. Interview, select, train and schedule personnel.
  6. Conduct annual performance reviews and address/document disciplinary matters as needed
  7. Must work safely at all times and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in End of Month Inventory.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
  10. Comply with Lancaster Foods, Inc. policies and procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. At least 2 year degree or equilvent work experience in a fresh cut production/value added  Produce warehouse.
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work in warehouse.
  3. A minimum of five years of related management experience.
  4. Must demonstrate proficient PC skills.
  5. Must demonstrate satisfactory oral and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to operate a variety of Powered Industrial Equipment.
  7. Ability to frequently lift and carry 1-50 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 75 pounds.
  8. Must have own transportation.
  9. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

4 year degree and/or equivalent work experience in a fresh cut production/value added PRODUCE environment.

8 years experience managing others in a fresh cut production/value added Produce environment.

Must be able to, with reasonable accommodations, lift and carry up to 75 pounds, work in temperatures, which range from 28-90 degrees, work in a wet, damp and dusty environment, and ability to read/understand warehouse documents.

 

Personal Protective Equipment Required:   Steel Toed Shoes [Lancaster Foods will reimburse up to $20 with a receipt] and your ID badge/timecard.
